The Role of Futurists

Many corporations use futurists as part of their risk management strategy, for horizon scanning and emerging issues analysis, and to identify wild cards - low probability, potentially high-impact risks. Every successful and unsuccessful business engages in futuring to some degree - for example in research and development, innovation and market research, anticipating competitor behavior and similar pursuits.

At Amplios, we focus firstly on transferring to our clients the understanding as to how to perform future studies themsleves. This is done by a series of scheduled workshops.

Following the workshops, clients have the tools necesary to establish and maintain a basic scenario planning system for their organization. We are then available to assist on a consulting basis in any projects that require much deeper experience.
